Irving Posluns was famous in its day for their good-quality faux-fur creations. If you couldn't afford Persian lamb back in the 1950's or early 60's, this was the next best thing. The pile is soft and has a nice soft lustre and its textured finish will give a great vintage look to your teddy bears. I tend to be a purist where bear fur is concerned and buy natural materials such as mohair and genuine fur, but this coat has such a great look that I made an exception for it. It is in very good condition except for the expected wear at the neck and cuffs. The fabric has a tightly woven back and is extremely durable. You'll get a lot of mileage out of this coat! It's full-cut style means more flexibility in the bears you can make from it. And the genuine mink collar is a nice bonus: use it to line ears or for an accent on teddy's chest or tummy.
