Description
You are bidding on "Stutz Bear Car," a delightful and fun bear display piece created by Pruitt's Place, Orange, CA, circa 1985.  This car is number 41 of a limited edition of 500 (the edition number is on the bottom of the car).  The car has a red wooden body, black & gold metal running boards and fenders, and gold metal headlamps.  The wheels are rubber with wooden spokes; they can be turned or angled left or right.  There is a gold bear hood ornament and gold metal "Stutz Car" symbol on the radiator.  The seat is black cloth, with a black cloth collapsible hood, and the steering wheel and steering column are black metal.  The car comes complete with a crank, and a brown wicker trunk with black leather straps.  The car measures 26 inches long x 9 1/2 inches wide x 17 inches high.  This sturdy, well-made piece is in excellent condition and has been stored in a smoke-free environment.   The musical bear is wearing a tan cloth duster and cap with goggles.  The tag on the back indicates the bear was created in 1985 by Jeannie, but I'm not able to make out her last name.  It plays "Those Were The Days."  The pawpads are brown cordurory.  It measures 18 inches and is fully jointed.  It is slightly soiled from storage, but is in good condition.  It has been stored in a smoke-free environment.   The car and bear would make a wonderful gift for a child, or an excellent addition to your bear collection.      Contact the seller if you have any questions or wish additional pictures.  Please see directly below for payment, shipping, and returns policies.   **********************************************   Payment Policy:  We accept Paypal, cashiers check, or bank or postal money order only - no personal checks please.  Payment is due within 5 days of auction close.  If sending a cashier's check or money order, please inform seller of your intent.   Shipping Policy:  We ship all items to U.S. addresses via either UPS ground or USPS 1st class parcel, priority mail, or parcel post, depending on size and weight of package, within 3 business days of receipt of payment.  Insurance is optional on non-breakable items and required on breakable items.  Insurance cost varies depending on value of item.  We package our items as carefully as possible, but we can't take responsibility for items lost or damaged in shipping.  Please protect your investment.  If the item was shipped via USPS and it is lost or damaged during shipment, the BUYER is responsible for filing a claim.  Contact the seller to obtain the insurance receipt prior to filing a claim.  If the item is shipped via UPS GROUND and it is lost or damaged during shipment, the SELLER is responsible for filing the claim.  The buyer should immediately notify the seller the piece was damaged or lost, and should maintain the item, shipping box and packing materials in the exact condition in which the piece arrived.  The SELLER will contact UPS to initiate the claim; UPS will then make arrangements with the BUYER to pick up the item and evaluate it for the insurance claim.   International shipments will be via the best available service through the USPS.  International buyers should contact the seller for shipping costs.   Returns Policy:  We will accept returns ONLY if the item is not as described (not including breakage).  The item must be mailed back to seller within 3 business days at the buyer's expense in its original condition and original packing.  A refund of the purchase price will be issued within 3 business days of receipt of the returned item.  Contact the seller before returning item to work out details.
