BLOCK LETTER 7 BEBE with the VERY RARE BRU TYPE BODY! Usually Block Letter Bebes produced by Francois Gaultier were made on composition or Gesland bodies; very FEW examples were made on a gusseted kid body with lower bisque arms, copying the early Bru Bebes!  And an EXCEPTIONAL and wonderfully LARGE example is the one offered here for your consideration; with a FABULOUS antique ensemble, her ORIGINAL blonde mohair wig, and MESMERIZING blue paperweight eyes, she is a MUST for the advanced collector! She is dressed in LAYERS of antique garments including a lovely antique white lace bonnet that matches her GORGEOUS white organdy frock, boasting a lace bodice and pleated skirt with another separate overlaying skirt, creating a wonderful tiered effect!  Underneath she has antique white cotton pantaloons and half slip, vintage white lace socks, and antique turquoise blue oilcloth heeled shoes with silver buckles!  To add a SPLASH of color, she wears a  FABULOUS scalloped creme wool flannel antique capelet with attached vest, trimmed with royal blue stitching!  To complete her AMAZING outfit she has antique pearl earrings in her PIERCED EARS, and an EXQUISITE antique blue glass beaded necklace with a silver cross! She has GORGEOUS facial modeling with BEAUTIFUL COLORING, contrasting with her PALE and EARLY PRESSED BISQUE, individually painted eyelashes and MULTI STROKED eyebrows, a CLOSED MOUTH with beautifully outlined lips, and absolutely STUNNING blue paperweight eyes with MESMERIZING SPIRAL THREADING!  She has a replaced newer cork pate, and her ORIGINAL blonde mohair wig is full and long!  Her bisque head is PERFECT with no chips, hairlines, repairs or restorations, and it is marked with an incised "F.7.G" on the back; as in many early dolls there is a very small pepper spot on her cheek, but with the naked eye it is barely discernable!  She has a WONDERFUL kid leather body with individually stitched toes, seams at the back and waist, and gusseted elbows, knees and at the back of the top of the legs; there are no repairs that can be detected.  Her EXQUISITELY MODELED lower bisque arms have individually painted fingernails and dimples at the knuckles; each one is it's own WORK OF ART!  They appear PERFECT, with no chips, hairlines, restorations or repairs!  A SUPERB and EARLY antique 18" F.G.
