First all of her vinyl parts were bathed in baby bath to remove any impurities from the manufacturing process. After she dried, I began creating her beautiful baby skin, layer by layer with Genesis Heat- Set Paints. These are artist quality heat-set oils that will not fade, or rub off. They will stand the test of time insuring that Kinsey will be treasured for many years to come.     ~Details.....~ Every crease and dimple has be blushed. She has been given a slightly mottled skin tone, just like a real baby's. Using my 3D skin layering technique, and my own custom blended paints, for this little individual, I have brought Kinsey's skin to life with realistic living color, with faint blueish areas where a babies skin is naturally thinner. Realistic veining that appears to be "just under the skin". I have given her skin lots of texture and depth, and the faintest hint of moisture at the eyes, nose, and mouth.  Many hours were spent layering and baking the paints to give Mary the high quality skin she has. Her skin has also been sealed with matte varnish. Each baby is unique and special, and will never be duplicated.         ~Eyes, Nails & Hair~ I have given Kinsey high quality newborn blue gray eyes, that are made to look as much like a real babies eyes when first born, as possible, and then framed them with wispy baby lashes..... Her eyebrow are lightly painted on, one hair at a time, with 3D texture for a very realistic affect. The nails have been tinted, and tipped with creamy white, and then triple sealed with gloss varnish. Kinsey's beautiful full baby lips were given a Rosey tint, highlighted, and then triple sealed with gloss varnish. I have directionally "Micro" rooted her head with baby fine Ultra Premium wavey kid mohair. This mohair is extremely soft and looks incredibly natural and realistic! I have paid special attention to her scalp so that you will find veining and pinkish hues showing through her soft curly light-brown baby hair. After rooting her head, I sealed it from the inside, with a clear flexible water-proof sealant. This allows the hair to be misted and gently brushed with a baby brush. I have given Kinsey a magnetic pacifier, and a magnetic hair bow. I have also gently opened Kinsey's nose, and backed it with dark felt for relism.                  ~Cuddly Body~ Kinsey has been given a custom made flesh colored Doe Suede body, that is fully jointed, making it possible to recreate all the poses you see here and more, effortlessly at home. I have weighted Kinsey in all the right places, and she fairly melts into your arms when you hold her..... I have used a mixture of glass beads and poly pellets, along with sumptuous faux fleece. She fits Newborn sized clothing perfectly!
