Back to the beginning.......... Genuine Gucci and Bing Bear Collaboration. Limited Edition of only 100 of these bears ever made. This is #83. Bing Bears, founded in the 1800s, produced gorgeous teddy bears in Germany until 1932. In 1992, the old patterns were purchased and in 1994, Bing Bears were re-born. This blonde mohair bear contains a fully functional growler (coincidentally the growler mechanism is celebrating its 100 year anniversary with the original creator of the growler, Steiff). She is fully jointed. Sporting a navy blue dress with white polka dots and matching pantaloons, she is carrying a GENUINE Gucci bag! Her certificate of authenticity (still attached) has Bing on one side, Gucci on the other side and a pin inside. There is documentation that Steiff and Bing went thru some legal issues regarding button in ear trademark so I believe that the pin was originally their version of the button in ear and now resides with the certificate. Her detail is beautiful, she comes with original Bing dustbag, and she has never been displayed. She is in mint condition other than slight creasing on the certificate due to the pin inside.
