Antique Simon & Halbig Automaton Doll Bye Lo Baby Start Price USD 1,995.00 Current Price USD 1,995.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, November 16, 2008 End Time Sunday, November 23, 2008 Location Annapolis, MD See more about 'Antique Simon & Halbig Automaton Doll Bye Lo Baby ' Description Antique Simon & Halbig Automaton Doll Bye Lo Baby This is a neat antique Simon & Halbig Automaton doll.  She is 14" tall with a 2" base making it 16" complete.  She has a bisque head marked 1300 Halbig S&H 4.  When you wind her up, she rocks forward and backward rocking her tiny Bye Lo baby.  She also has a seperate music box that works.  The base is covered with antique velvet.  She is dressed in an antique dress with a matching bonnet and the matching slip.  The baby is dressed in a vintage cotton dress, slip, bonnet and diaper.  She is marked Grace Putnam, copyright , Germany and what looks like the numbers 20H10 and she has no damage.  Her arms and legs are marked with numbers as well.  The S & H does not have any hairlines or repairs, but both ears are chipped.  The right ear has a chip at the piercing and the the left ear has the lobe chipped and glued.  She has an antique mohair wig and pate.  Her eyes have been reset at one time. The arms are covered in some old taffeta cloth, possibly to give her arms some dimension??? The original cloth is under the taffeta.   I am not sure who the maker of the automaton is, but Simon & Halbig supplied the heads for a lot of the Roulette and Decamps Automatons.  You can see by the pictures of her head that she was definetly made for this and not a "doll".  This is a very nice piece and you will not be disappointed.  Payment: Payment by paypal, or m.o. due within 5 days of close of auction.  No Checks.  Paypal is preferred.
