No place on the package does it say “pregnant” rather it refers to her as passing through the stages of motherhood. This is from the instructions:“The Mother doll can pass through the stages of motherhood by depressing the button located in her back. To fully extend the dolls stomach the button must be depressed all the way. To return Stomach to normal position, push stomach in.” Both the Father and Mother dolls have positionable left arms so they can hold the baby.
