Thank you for your understanding.   This auction is for a beautiful and rare, 16" ALL ORIGINAL antique French closed mouth, bisque head doll by Rabery & Delphieu. She is on a 13 piece composition and wood body that has a working crier. She comes with her original French costume and a SECOND ANTIQUE DRESS and BONNET.    FULL DESCRIPTION: -Perfect bisque socket head with NO cracks, NO chips and NO repairs.   -Creamy pale bisque with softly blush full cheeks on her long face. A tiny pepper dot on side of left cheek and one on side of her nose.   -Lips are painted in deep scarlet with matching nose and eye accents. Left red nose accent has a faint line of paint on the tip.   -Gorgeous deep blue paperweight eyes.   -Delicate, finely painted upper and lower lashes.   -Feathered eyebrows beautifully painted, feathered and layered multi-strokes. The brows are positioned close in the center in the French style, giving her a very charming, slightly surprised look.   -She has pierced ears with antique blue cut glass dangle earrings that I tied in place with monofilament line to protect the ear holes.   -Her oval, back slanted head opening has the Original cork pate glued in place. Her head has a high forehead with a slightly warped shape which is sometimes seen in these older dolls. I did not take the cork pate off, so not sure if the bisque is poured or pressed.   -Fabulous original blonde mohair wig in excellent condition with soft curls all around. It is nice and full and lovely warm gold color.   -Wonderful 13 piece ball jointed composition body in very good condition. I rebuilt one little finger on her right hand. I'm pretty good at it, so it matches well and you can hardly tell it's restored. I do not know if this is her original body as it has loose balls at elbow and knee joints and is not marked. I believe the French bodies all had attached balls, but this could be an exception.. any input would be appreciated.  It's a perfect fit for her anyway. The body has two pull strings coming out of the tummy with a bellow inside and cries when the strings are pulled. The mechanism appears to have been restored inside. I think it may have originally had two different sounds such as mama and papa. I carefully reopened her body to restring the arms and legs as they have to be strung above and below the mechanism to not interfere with the pull strings. She was then glued back together nice and sturdy with a band of antique kid around the midriff to cover the seam.    -Two costumes come with this beautiful doll. First  is her ALL ORIGINAL French costume. It is fashioned out of black sheer wool, that feels like cashmere. It has a jacket blouse and matching wool floor length, full skirt. There are a couple of tiny moth holes in the back of the skirt, but overall in very good condition. The jacket blouse is trimmed with gold ric rac and gold lame' ribbon with black velvet cuffs trim with white lace. It is fully lined with muslin. It has a huge sheer white cotton lawn collar with lace trim that extends down the back and over the shoulders in a shawl like fashion. -Skirt has matching gold lame' ribbon trim around the bottom with wide lavender silk hem. There is tiny fraying around the bottom edge of the hem and some pulls in the lame'. -Over the skirt is the original pale pink silk apron with the same matching gold ric rac and gold lame' trim with a wide lace border and pink silk ribbon bow with streamers. It hooks in the back.   -Underdressings are comprised of her original beautiful sheer white cotton lawn, lace trimmed chemise and pantaloons and a long white linen petticoat.   -Shoes are her original two toned tan and black leather with original string ties and leather soles marked with the number 2.  Each sole has a tiny hole on the bottom, don't know what that was for, but appears to have always been there.   -Stockings are her original long black ribbed cotton ones.   -Original bonnet is a starched lace cap with lace loops on each side that are pulled up and attached in the back.   -Her brooch is a lovely antique black cut glass pin looped over her neckline.    I am including a SECOND COSTUME: a stunning antique French dress of sheer white cotton lawn that has French seams. You just have to see this gorgeous dress to appreciate it. It has hand and machine stitching and 6 rows of tiny pintucking on each angel wing style sleeve.   There are 34 rows of the same pintucking in sections across the bodice with lace inserts between each row. Neckline, sleeves and hem are trimmed with fine French lace. It has a wide waistline that buttons in back.  The neckline is threaded with cording so it can be gathered and tied in back. The skirt is very full and has 4 more rows of wide pintucking. This dress is in very good condition with a couple of tiny pin holes and two little seam pulls on the skirt.    -Bonnet that goes with this dress is also made of antique French lace that is gathered at the top with a scalloped lace border and has corded trim with tiny pink flowers. The pink silk lining is fragile and pulling apart in areas.  A really darling bonnet that you will love.   -She picked out a vintage gold metal bird pin for her bodice with a long chain that holds a tiny pair of gold metal nose glasses with real lenses.   This is such a wonderful and rare French doll that is display ready and a perfect cabinet size that will be a star in your collection.    Everyone needs a French Bebe, right??
